Services Provided for Caregivers
Respite care on an hourly, half-day or full-day basis. Call or email us for rates. Even better, come visit us! Please email for an appointment.
For those who have loved ones attending our farm program, there is a monthly caregivers support group offered. This group will be a general support group to address the many issues that may arise when caring for someone with dementia. If needed, more specialized support groups will be offered.
We will offer a monthly Memory Cafe. A Memory Cafe is a safe and comfortable space where caregivers and their loved ones can socialize, enjoy activities, and receive education and support. A Memory Cafe is not respite care, but a place for you and your loved one to enjoy time together with other families coping with the disease. If you would like more information about joining our Memory Cafe, please email us.
For those who feel they need extra support, we offer individual counseling services. The counseling services are provided by our president and founder, who is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois. Sessions can be done in person at the farm or online via Better Help https://www.betterhelp.com/johanna-jameson/#
We understand that caregivers may be unsure about what types of activities their loved one can participate in safely. We offer neuropsychological assessment to get a better idea of cognitive, emotional and functional ability so that we can provide a tailored, stimulating and pleasant experience for your loved one. This assessment will be done by a doctoral level neuropsychologist
Caregivers Social Events
We understand that caregivers need strong support. The Memory Farm will host monthly social events that provide our caregivers a chance to relax and unwind with other caregivers and ask us questions. These events are free to caregivers who have loved ones in our program.
Quality Time with Your Loved One
Caregivers are welcome to join their loved one in all activities offered at our farm!
